Software Developer & Disc Golf Champion
Who am I

Programming is a lot like disc golf.

I came to software the long way around — through calculus, engineering physics, and a plan to build aircraft.

There are countless ways to approach any task or shot, and you've always got to balance expediency with big-picture thinking and foresight.

I began my educational journey seeking to be an aerospace engineer, but I discovered a passion for coding and software development — and for building tools that help people and businesses succeed. That took me from Tulsa Community College to Holberton School, and from Holberton into public-sector apps, Minecraft Marketplace defects, AI recruiting platforms, and logistics automations.

That's why I'm always adding new languages, libraries, and discs to my repertoire.

There's no waiting for a perfect shot, and you've always got to be ready for the wind or the needs of the business to change.

Off the clock

Time away from the screen

Time away from the screen is just as important as time spent on it. Ensuring time for relaxation and hobbies helps maintain a healthy work-life balance and fosters creativity.

Disc Golf

Tournament player, long-drive champion, and permanent student of the wind. 563 feet is the number to beat.

Hiking

Trails over treadmills. The higher the elevation gain, the better the reset. Mountains hiked: 1 (more to come).

Most Sports

Avid Football fan, but if it involves a ball and a scoreboard, I'm probably in.

Teddy

My dog, reigning holder of the Cutest Dog Award, and my caddy for every round he's allowed on.

Games

Video games at the desk, board games at the table, either way it's problem solving.

Family & Friends

Playing games, watching movies, or just hanging out — the part that keeps the rest of it worth doing.

Fantasy Football

Commissioning Leagues, drafting teams, and managing rosters. The best way to enjoy football without the injuries. (2x League Champion)

Fishing

Patience practice, with a chance of dinner.

While I do enjoy coding and video games at the computer, I also love to get outside and enjoy nature. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, whether it be playing games, watching movies, or just hanging out.

Professional experience

How I make lives better and businesses more successful

Six coding roles across public-sector apps, Minecraft, agentic AI, and logistics — newest first.

Oklahoma Foster Care: Benefits Directory

University of Oklahoma — Center for Public Management × OKDHS

A mobile app designed to help foster parents in Oklahoma find benefits and resources available to them.

OU Center for Public Management's first mobile application. I determined the tech stack, set the deliverable deadlines, designed the app, and managed development with one coworker from start to finish.

Users search benefits by category — financial assistance, medical care, educational resources — and foster parents can sign in with their existing accounts to carry a digital version of their benefits card.
